1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

“Always rejoice. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus tow ard you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Prayer is always a long talk to our God, pouring out our heart to Heavenly father about all needs, desires and also the request of wellbeing of others. There is no time limit and locations for prayer, can do it while driving, while working, showering and walking so on. Prayer starts with lot of thanks giving for the good things those are given to us. God’s will is always to glorify his name and that will be our prime desire while praying and everything else will be secondary.

“Always rejoice. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

When we fall on our face and call on Him, He will be near to us. Sometimes we feel that our prayers are not hearing. This is not right, don’t depend on your feel; depend on what God’s Word says. He listen our cries and saves us from our many trials and tribulations. See what Psalmist says….

“Yahweh (Lord) is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him. He also will hear their cry, and will save them”. Psalm 145:18-19

Our Heavenly father, how great is your love and great help! May each one of us feel sheltered in your hand. Kindly forgive our sins and put all the good you can put into our hearts. We ask you to be with us. May we be faithful, believing firmly in your great mercy and glorify your name always. May each heart be given the comfort of knowing that everything will turn to the good, to the glory of your name. Amen.

1 Peter 5:4

Everyday is an important day in our life and we will receive the “Crown of Glory” from our lord.
Many crowns mentioned in the bible, one given to Aaron by his brother Moses and the others to Queen Vashti an Queen Esther. Who will get these blessings and how to receive it. Jesus will give us the crown of glory if we are leading a righteous life. David in Psalm 23.1 says “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want anything” Jesus shed his blood for you on the cross to receive forgiveness of your sins.. The shepherd guide you and your life will be fruitful (Isaiah 58:11).As you walk in his ways, he will go before you and will be behind you, protecting you. Lord will do everything for you all and you have to cling on to him. His love will be enough for you.
Have you committed your life before the god 100%? As you are 100% depend on god, you will receive blessing and the crown of glory. Learn to obey god, follow his instructions from the bible and give thanks to him every day for the food, health and everything you receive. This way you will be pleasing the god and he will surely give you the crown of glory.
Our heavenly father. Thank you lord for your wonderful love. Your love is supreme. Kindly protect me and guide me in a beautiful way. Cleanse me with the blood that shed you on the cross. Give me a new life; take away all the problems I am facing. Bless me with divine wisdom, lead me and guide me.

Philippians 4:6-7

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus”. .. Philippians 4:6-7

St, Paul had written these very powerful inspiring verses to Philippians while he was in custody. Those who are in Jesus do not worry about anything, because our heavenly father loved the world so much. St.John has written it in his book about it, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”.John 3:16

Do you  love Jesus ? Do you find time everyday for thanksgiving to our heavenly father for the countless blessing showering on you? if not we will not be eligible for the Gods love and Peace. This is the time to think and take decision.

Jonah's Prayer

“In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry”…Jonah 2:2

Jonah prayed while he was inside the fish. Why the fish swallowed Jonah? Reason is very clear, Jonah flees from the Lord. God’s word came to Jonah go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.  But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord. Then the Lord sent a great wind on the sea, and such a violent storm arose that the ship threatened to break up.  All the sailors were afraid and each cried out to his own god. And they threw the cargo into the sea to lighten the
ship. But Jonah had gone below deck, where he lay down and fell into a deep sleep.  The captain went to him and said, “How can you sleep? Get up and call on your god! Maybe he will take notice of us so that we will not perish.”  Then the sailors said to each other, “Come, let us cast lots to find out who is responsible for this calamity.” They cast lots and the lot fell on Jonah. So they asked him, “Tell us, who is responsible for making all this trouble for us? What kind of work do you do? Where do you come from? What is your country? From what people are you?”  He answered, “I am a Hebrew and I worship the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.”  This terrified them and they asked, what have you done? The sea was getting rougher and rougher and they asked him, what should we do to you to make the sea calm down for us? Jonah replied pick me up and throw me into the sea, it will become calm. I know that it is my fault that this great storm has come upon you. Sailors cried out to the Lord, Please, Lord, do not let us die for taking this man’s life. Do not hold us accountable for killing an innocent man, for you, Lord, have done as you pleased.  They took Jonah and threw him overboard, the raging sea grew calm. A big fish swallowed Jonah. Jonah started crying and praying.

This incident is a good lesson for us. We are also trying to run away from our Lord. Think how long we can live without listening God’s words? A rough sea is waiting for us!
